1947, 1948 Indians & a Harley from the same era.

Shown at the Penngrove Power & Implement Museum Power-Up today.

This 1947 was a Phillipines model - and the guy that owns it bought it from a buddy in the Phillipines that had it for many years. Note the kilometers per hour speedo.

This guy's kicking over the 1948.

They rode from Sonoma - about 25 miles away. It was great to see them at the show.

That's a Pony. It was designed for the semi-urban homeowner back in the '40's I think. Nice little tractor.

I'm not likely to have the scratch to own an Indian this year.

But maybe next.

Those were some mighty weak kicks to start those bikes!

Anyone here going to Wauseon this weekend? I'm going for a twofer and hit the antique tractor meet in Newport,Mi on the way back on saturday, too. Old bikes and old tractors-two of my big interests.

So, jeep44, how about some Wauseon pics??

I couldn't make it this year, after attending the last two times. So I'm going
a little 'cold-turkey' for old stuff!

Sorry-no pics. I drove there saturday morning through several driving rainstorms. Everyone had all their stuff covered up most of the time. I made about 4 passes around the area-each time, it would clear up a bit,and they would pull the tarps off their stuff-then it would start pissing down rain, and back the tarps went-it was hard to see what was there. I had taken my truck with the expectation that I might find some british parts for some of my projects, but I really didn't see anything I wanted, and left empty-handed, soaked to the skin.

That happenen last Thursday. He said it was still running when he shut it down. With a little luck, he'll have it back on the road soon.
