Me too, me too! Right now "my" street bike is my Fiance's abandoned BLAST!. Next spring she'll take the MSF course and if she still hates it we'll trade it in on a used Tiger or V-Strom, but right now it's MY main ride. It handles great and is a lot of fun. I passed on the idea of riding it at first but rationalized to myself that I have always wanted an SR500 and the BLAST! was, in every way, a better bike than an SR500. Also, this particular one has a Vance & Hines pipe, a jet kit and K&N filter. It's plenty quick and growly obnoxious. Like me!

Cool2

Your first is always special:

But the Blast was too small to pick up chicks on, so I had to upgrade:

But the Cyclone still wasn't great for long distances. So I traded it in:

It keeps the Blast company now.

Good stuff, Kahoon. Bringing back mems, for sure.

You've GOT to get clearance to do some track days next season.

Hope you're well, mang,
Lorenzo

I always liked the looks of those better than the standard lightning. I guess the bigger tank is the main difference.

Don't let the dirt bike face fool you: It'll burn up a twisty road as sharp or sharper than an S3.

Here's my '96 S1 before it was set up for the track.
Now thats a good looking bike!

I don't know if 91s were affected, but there was a recall on WP shocks because of a dissimilar metal issue with pin eyes on the ends of the shocks.

I have a 99 X1 that I have a tank bag and soft saddle bags that I outfit if for touring. I typically run 500 mile trips with no ill affects on the ole back and shoulders....

If it's OK to post a pic of a Buell one used to have. If I didn't live out in the sticks with highways to ride to get anywhere, this naked thing would still be in the barn. It was outstanding...

Yes, I changed it. This is a "recall" shock, I bought it at a swap meet for $20. I still have the original PS shock.

No they weren't, they were not WPs.

Actually, I had bought a new M2 shock for my RS, and when the recall came out I called, to see about a replacement. They told me that my bike was not affected, even when I explained the shock switch.
