640 ADV worth?

Year???? newer style instruments- does that help narrow it down?
no farkles (fuck I hate that word)

sun bleached, ripped seat, faded plastic
5+gallons of questionable gas,
bad battery,
ok tires- flat front, decent treads
ODO shows 6K miles,
Leaky fork seal
bad tags

History: inmate owned currently- well, he's gone awol, Howard Hughes stuff.
I'm "storing" it now a year plus, need the room in my garage but I'd rather sell the DR and KLR and ride the ktm...

What would you pay for it?

The market is what really drives the value and the market is different from place to place. Around here, it depends mostly on the tags. Commiefornia has huge fines for out of date registration, but I digress. Anyway, in my market as you describe it max would be around $1500, min would be around $500.

About what a years worth of garage storage is going for. Sounds abandoned to me. Put a lien on it and seize it.

You'd likely take better care of it. From the description in the OP, sounds like it was run into the ground. IMHO it's a shame to see such a fine machine treated so poorly. A lot of guys out there would love to have it and take pride in owning it.

I think the dood bumped his head. Even if the miles are right. It's still 11 years old. It's not a collectors item. All the rubber bits are dry rotting wether one rides it or not. As pristine as it is, it would still require a complete going through before being put into service.

Post a picture if you want accurate advice.

Look at the chain and sprockets and the brake discs.
And the cost of a battery.

What tires are on it.

Probably.
Low flow head and manual clutch.
No Low octane change for that ignition.
Heck of a good machine.
