non-icebreaker

In repect of the esteemed title "Icebreaker".........

....and with the early snow melt (no ice in sight)......

..and the use of the terminology "Icebreaker" for other geographical early rides...

....and to distance ourselves from other well executed functions

.......it was suggested by a few of the magnanimous dignified dignitarys to re-name this jollification at my camp to something else..

So...after much study and debate our esteemed panel of experts....

.....Ok...not really experts, but 2 wino's and a pizza delivery guy, ....

... have narrowed it down to ........

..................(thats a drum roll)......

"The No Frills Adventure Rally"....to be know for evermore as the ...." NoFAR Rally"

This will enable a unique motif to this rally and avoid any plagurism threats from the Icelanders..whom, I'm sure have the "Icebreaker" trademarked.

There will be NO t-shits or hats printed up with the "NoFAR" logo on them.....
..but we will have a few magic markers on hand if you want to letter up yor existing apparel...remember...NoFAR = No Frills......
..but we won't starve to death...or die of dehydration.

The real Icebreaker rides involved...ice. And sometimes snow.

Cold feet. Cold tents. Riding through water crossings with ice still on the bottoms.

They were fun!

The NOFAR Rally it is! (yoda voice)

I don't know but you have to break a little ice to keep the beer cold

Ice is also pretty good in a short glass of Vodka(or so I'm told).

I won't get into the many medical uses for ice cause that could be construed as bad kharma.

26c and sunny here today. May the sun warm you Northern folks so the ground is warm and dry for this Southern body. It's been a long time since I've thrown a tent on cold ground. Not that i'm concerned as I'm well stocked with some premium antifreeze

My Scottish grandfather would have said that it's NoFar to the Soo. If it's within a day it's all part of the GTA to me.

At least you weren't hanging yourself Ron! Reno's can get to you after awhile

I'll get the books back to you sometime next week? When are you in and out again?

I'm racing the next 2 weekends but hope to get out on the KTM 530 and do some exploring after that, if anyone is interested. Just looking to do local stuff, climb the bike to the top of Godfrey (I believe that's the name) and visit Crescent Lake behind McKay, etc.

Drinking causes dehydration...so I wouldn't rule that one out just quite yet

Wish I could be there. Have fun!

Backroader suggested I post this here

I'm renting a U Haul trailer to run to Sudbury from Winnipeg to gather up my daughter and grand kids to haul them back to Manitoba. I'm heading out there empty so if anyone has something to haul from Winnipeg to as far east as Sudbury I can do that for you in exchange for some gas money.

I'm leaving June 20th so if anyone is interested PM me.

Don't say we won't be breaking ice yet or its guaranteed to snow for the rally.
