I went to college in Brandon...went back this year, and couldn't even find my way around.

BTW, what's a PD?

'95 BMW R100GSPD as in Paris/Dakar. Yeah, the town is growing like crazy. Moved back here a couple of years ago from near the 'Peg and didn't realize how much had changed. Still quick and easy to get around though!

I had to ask, I'm not that familiar with Beemers...

I still like Brandon, even now, it has that small town feeling.

EDIT: I lived in MB for a while, Leaf Rapids, Brandon, Pinawa, and Gimli.

bibbity-bump...

Looks like my vacation will be the first couple weeks in July. By no means have I got the green light to go yet, but I'm working on it.

Does this jive with what y'all were thinking? Maybe a Canada Day adventure? We can all bring fireworks!

Ride

I will throw a few dates up to see what lines up for people. April is too unpredictable, I will be riding, but the weather can get bad for planning anything ahead. April it'll be too cold for camping probably. May is better but I am only good for weekdays. June -second weekend - first weekend I am planning on going to Road America Superbike Elkhart Lake WI. June Second weekend ? July ?

Hey, whatever works. I'm a shift worker, and have quite a bit of time off.

You guys plan around your schedules, I'll make mine work!

We are looking at some days for the "Icebreaker ride" May 15th to 18th. Approx 400km per day of 2 track and gravel mostly......working on some GPS data for riders. A later summer ride around July should be good also but Canada Day doesn't line up for me.

Icebreaker ride May15-18

Hekto and I are planning an "Icebreaker Run" from May 15th through to the 18th inclusive.

Lots of dualsport riding , mostly on old logging roads,
and we are also going to try to find a downed USAF
plane that's sitting somewhere around Graham.

Hekto will be posting later with a rough plan of our route, and GPS files.

If anyone else is interested, let us know, all are invited.

Bring a tent and cooking gear.

Hmmm, May 14th is my 34th birthday...and this sounds like a pretty nice way to spend it. Now that you've provided the dates, lemme see if I can get away from family and work.

Yes we got about 20 cm yesterday too.

The weather channel was predicting +10 and sunny.

We got -13 and 20 cm of snow.

They couldn't predict a gangbang in a whorehouse.
