Very sharp! 650?

I hope to take mine out this coming weekend for a little ride. The snow and ice should be gone and the high should be nearly 60 by Sunday.

I found an 85 Nighthawk 700 SC.

Needs=

fork seals
engine work
blinkers
front fairing
mirrors
tires
repaint
possible throttle tube
possible left switch assembly
have no key

All in all looks ok black and red color scheme

I can get it for $175.00 but am not sure if it is worth it - what yall think?

Urgent - guy is calling me right now!

$175...you can always part that out and make a little money.
Fork seals, no big deal.
Carb clean and run...great...
Will need tires/battery etc. that's three or four hundred.
Key - there is a number on the switch module. Take that to a locksmith and he/she can make keys...get several. They should have the blanks.

I just picked up a friend's nighthawk 750. its not running but i think i might be able to get it running tomorrow. its got pod filters, which look cool, but dont work well with the cv carbs, i hear. fresh battery and new tires. looks pretty cool.
im making.it.more cb750 themed than nighthawk stock.

so far fairings are off, and forks are raised about an inch and a half. cleaned out the carbs as much as one can do with out taking them off the bike. they are stuck on very well. the boots look cracked, too.

anyon know a specific tank that will fit the 82 nighthawk 750 frame without modification? my tank looks somewhat rusty and i am not a big fan of a big wide harley looking tank on a vintage i4 sport bike

The forks look bent just below the lower triple, like someone hit something with the bike.

source for engine parts

Just got back from 3,500 k (doesn't sound nearly as impressive in miles) trip to Adelaide and the bike preformed beautifully.... but it's getting a bit smokier and the timing chain rattle is getting ....rattlier.

....I think it's time for a rebuild.

Being that I come from across the ocean where motorcycle parts seem to be slightly ridiculous (my local dealership wanted $700 for a starter motor) I was wondering if any inmates could recommend a place that they get parts from. I'm basically after timing chain kit and standard size piston rings

It was the perfect bike for the trip, comfortable, quiet, reliable and looked good in every damm photo (wish I could say the same for myself). I'm thinking of a rebuild, maybe a respray at the same time and then start planning the next trip with the 'hawk

Hey guys, decided not to check out those bikes in Boston, too much of a trip. Also wasted my time checking out a red '84 700s in PA. On the long two hour drive back home, i spotted a listing for a blue '85 700s in upstate NY.

Couple days later took the trip, liked what i saw, few days later came back with the bike. Here she is, crappy pics dont do her justice.

$1500, came with Corbin seat, clean title, shop manual, extra decal, extra throttle cable, and honda toolkit.

all loaded up for the 100 mile trip home
