You couldn't stand to hear all I've got to say about THAT Chris.

But let me tell you about my old friend and hero Edmund Ruffin.

The last couple of bikes I bought I just brought home and went the forgiveness route. It's not for everyone but I'm still alive to tell the tale.

Related topic: A buddy of mine just sent an email, saying "friend in Chattanooga is selling a very clean 525 EXC. Street legal, tagged, etc., Lots of spares. He's got it set up for SM racing as well as dual sport riding. I'm wanting to buy the SM setup but he wants to sell it as a package.

2004 525 EXC, forks revalved for dual sport riding, various sprockets, big and stock tank, guts and stock seat, hand guards, stock and akro exhaust, etc.,

In the $2800 range."

Normally I wouldn't pass it on but since we're talking buying bikes and the email just got here I figure it's fate!

Hopefully I'll get the heated grips on this weekend and get to RIDE over Christmas.

Jeff

Well, I took the lazy/expensive way out on my BMW sedan and had it towed to the shop today to get the steering/ignition lock issue resolved. Too cold to work on it at home and I need it sooner than I would probably get around to it.

On the plus side I think I'm going to like this new mechanic. He rides a 1150 RT and even offered to lend me his Gerbings (although I think he knew there was no way in heck they'd fit) while he worked on the 535i.

Yea, probably best. I know if it were mine, I would get into the repair and need a part I'd have to wait on, or after I finished there would be some air bag warning and end up having to take it in anyway.

I wish Santa would bring me some Gerbing's. But then she would ask why do you need baby food?
