Durhamtown has lots of fast double track and 8 (I think) MX tracks. If you prefer challenging single track, Highland Park is the better choice. Highland Park may also be a couple of hours closer to you.

there are two good options for off road riding in GA. Durhamtown Plantation and Highland Park.

Highland park is great if you like a bit harder single track trails. everything is marked with 2-6 diamonds, so you can have an idea of what you are getting yourself into before you head down the trails. they have camping and cabins, and on the weekends they grill burgers and dogs for lunch.

Durhamtown probably has a bit better facilities as far as more cabins, meal hall (assuming they serve breakfast/lunch and dinner there?), etc. very wide variety of riding types. mostly more fast trails, mx, etc. There is single track there, but usually it's tight to make up for the lack of elevation changes like you get at HP.

Both have plenty of riding to keep you occupied for a few days, or spend a day or two at both and see what you think. :)

I'm taking my 950 to Durhamtown Saturday if any DOGs are around and want to join in on the fun. I'll have the 450 with me as well, but thought it might be fun to ride the 950 some on their tracks and trails..

The Cohutta seasonal roads are open from March 1 -Jan 3, so you are good.

Rush2112_2112 and I are riding the Cohutta's tomorrow. We're meeting at Hardee's in Elijay at 9:30. We'll be on big bikes.

Oh yeah. There is a move afoot to put 20-25 wind generators along Shinbone Ridge there at Sandrock. Gonna be real pretty.
I did get your PM, and could have sworn that I responded. I just went back and looked and, Nope no response. Anyway, I, or someone, should be around the house all weekend.
