Spring trucks are awesome if you like to carve hard and/or pump - they'll pull U-Turns inside the width of a parking spot, although I wouldn't want to downhill on them at high speed.

50+ and I ride an Original Derringer, just about every day...... to walk the dog . Makes it fun for me and gives him a good run on the downhill sections but in all honesty, I'm simply a lazy ass and it takes reduces the work by about 2/3rds .

Original Trucks

I just picked up that EXACT board! The bearings are middle of the road, but I love the trucks, deck, and wheels!

my friend Chris (the Samoan) in Sandy Eggo posted some pics of some fancy new CNC trucks he was evaluating for the maker... lets see if I can find them.

i guess the idea is, the angle of the pivot is very adjustable, also they turn really smooth compared with the conventional tracker/indie style rubber block trucks.

In a fit of insane stupidity, I traded a local shop owner a set of late-'70's, early-80's Sims Snakes wheels for some new equipment. He said he would put put them "in the museum" on his high shelf above the door, and keep them forever.

Two months later I walked in and they were gone. I asked the kid working in the shop what the hell happened to them, and he said, "Oh those? The owner eBay'ed 'em!"

Fuck.

So you want to see some fancy Trucks, Take a look at Peter Verdone work from San Francisco.

I love that board...

They look really heavy and complicated but also way cool, specially for one of does boards that never get used and i just for show.

I don't even remember from where I got this pictures, Maybe from my friend the Quadcarver inventor, here they are anyway for your enjoyment.

Ps: the board is a SIMS composite board circa 1980 that use to go for crazy Money on ebay a few years back (I use to have one my self, really great ride).

Speaking of cool trucks.... anyone ever try out the BMW Streetcarver skateboard?

$700 ... and probably $50+/proprietary wheel, when you wore them out
