Stock fork brace

Anyone have an old stock fork brace for a R 100 GS that they might have replaced with a CCC fork brace ? I just got my stock low fender for my GSPD and I want to install it but I don't want to give up using my CCC fork brace. MY thought was that I could cut off the four corners that have the 2 holes and just bolt them to the fork brace and then attach the low fender. I realize that the fender might fit a little bit higher but that would be fine. Or, maybe better, has anyone mounted a low fender with the CCC fork brace and if so, what mods did you do to make it work ? Let's hear your thoughts and suggestions.

new GS stock brace is $30.62 per the Hammersley ETK

Mine seems to have the holes to mount a low fender. Maybe CC products makes two models?

The San Jose site only shows one type and it doesn't have the holes for the lower fender....but yours sure does. I guess a call to them is in order. Thanks for the heads up.

Just got off the phone with San Jose and they do carry the fork brace with the additional holes but don't show it in their catalog, so I now have one on order ...........thanks Norton, I appreciate the tip. Oh, I will be posting the one I have under a separate thread here on Old School......$ 50 delivered

I got one of the CC braces from SJBMW a couple years ago when I still had a high fender; then last year I bought Norton's low fender and I didn't have any issues mounting it - the brace had all the right holes and stuff...

It seems that they either made them both ways or you were just lucky. The one I have have only has the one set of holes for mounting to the fork, as they show on their web page. Maybe they just make them now with both sets of holes and just don't show that on their page. How do you like the low fender as compared to the high fender ?
