Wow flug that is the best ride report ever. I felt your disappointment when Dukegirl would not open the door to let the Pres in. I felt your anger with Dave, Rabia nd others for standing you up because of a little rain. Some adventure riders I tell you what!!! I too know what its like to be out on the road all alone, looking for a friendly smile.

Great covered bridge pics! It was like I was there with you!

Great Trip. What an adventure! kudos to you Flug!

Charlie Brown should take a lesson. Flug can write a better ride report without ever leaving his garage than most people who ride hundreds of miles.

Well Mr. Natchflug,

It just so happens that I to, was passing through Vermont yesterday while completeing an Iron Butt sanctioned 1000 mile ride with the Yankee Beemers MCClub. I had informed you that I was dong this and thanks for noting this in your opening remarks.
I also said that I was going to be passing through Brattleboro around 10:00 or so and you said somthing like I am going to pelt you rotten tomatoes and eggs. So here I am in Brattleboro waiting and waiting for you. but alas no "Flug" and not so much as FYYFF or a salute from a bridge deck.

I did manage to get saluted by a guy riding a boss hoss. and I will post that in my own ride report.

yeah I'll bet you were Auggie, in a goddam Chevy.

The Ironbutt gonna sanction that?

How you gonna explain fuel receipts of 20 gallons?

I was in Brattleboro for the record, and I didn't see any slow large bearded GS's lumbering thru, but again I was looking for your bike, not car.

Harumph!
That is all I have to say right now. Harumph!

I am going to go take a long hot shower and get myself warmed up and clean, and then nice and dry, and then I will come back and see if anyone else has given you WHAT-FOR yet.

Usually Flug's stuff makes no sense to me, but that was actually entertaining.

I still think this is one of the most hilarious ride reports of all time.

I just dredged it up to read to my daughter and we laughed for 5 minutes. Long live the Flug.
