DirtyDog - I really like that rear fender. Where did you get it? Is it from a different bike? More info please, I would like something like that for my KLR.

Thanks in advance.

It's the original front fender. Trimmed down, painted, and affixed with an aftermarket brake light and blinkers. Totally custom. I don't really have a write-up on it or any decent pics. Sorry.

Basically fits snugly inside the subframe and uses the regular bolt locations.

87 Klr

I went riding with a guy who has a very tidy 87 KLR650 with 80000km on it which sounds like new

He took it places I would never contemplate taking my 09.....

Here's my KLR, loaded for my weekly commute this past summer. And in case anyone here is thinking about living in a Bunk house for five months.. DON'T, it sucks!

Have a good one!

There must be a story behind this nugget of wisdom you've shared...

Not really a story. Just the way of the economy. No work around my neck of the woods so took a job three hours away from home for a Five month contract. Joys of working for the Ministry of natural resources around here. Now back to looking, hopefully find something not as far this year so I can actually sleep at home instead of a gym floor mat that passes as a mattress. You know a decade or so ago, I may have enjoyed living in a bunk house with a bunch of 20 year olds that just wanted to party, now not so much when I'm working 10 hour days on the lake in 90% humidity.. Ah well just gotta find a better job for this summer I guess...lol only since someone asked about the story will I post this (a non KLR pic in here) lol

yup that was home for five months.. Home to see the wife and kids on the weekends, otherwise that's what there was...

Awesome thread. There's some really amazing shots in here. Here's a couple from the South Jersey area.

Me and a friends CB160 at the ruins of Bear Swamp Fire Tower. This was ripped out by a jet crash in 1971. Neat place.

Ride across a bunch of old CNJ railroad trestles through the NJ Pine Barrens. This one's at Atsion.

Riding over parts of the old Rt. 9 Beesleys Point Bridge in Somers Point.

Looking up from the bottom of Jemima Mt. deep in the Pines.
