Were you asking me? If so, it is the Grand Falls located NE of Flagstaff, AZ on the Navajo Reservation. It was barely a trickle when I visited but during the early spring thaw it really gets going! I'm going back when it's flowing better.

Alansz400 - Is that a 250 or a 650? That front fairing looks soooo much better than the stock one on the 650. I have seen a few pictures of this swap (if it is a 250 fairing on a 650) and would love to do it. If it is a swap, where did you get the fairing? More pics please.

No worries, your english is much better than my spanish. BTW nice job on the fairing mod. I am really wondering why no aftermarket company has made a complete fairing in this style.

Awesome! It is cool to see others doing this mod. I like mine a lot!
We are going to have to come up with a buzzy/ catchy name for it.......humm?As far as I know Wheat Wacker was the first to do it and then me. Seems to be catching on though.

Kawasaki OEM bag..made for the '08 and up KLR's. It IS expandable via a zipper on the bottom, maybe adds 2-3 inches of height. It's a good bag, designed for the rack and not to expensive.

How about just plain ol' 'Wheatwhacked'?

Let's use it in a sentence. "This weekend we'll be Wheatwhacking the fairing on my KLR." Or in reply to the question, "No, it's not factory. The fairing has been Wheatwhacked."

So with all these "wheatwacking" posts, I'm considering doing this mod to my KLR. My questions are, does this cause a lot of buffeting with a "touring" windshield? Do I really need the bottom two mounts for my windshield? (as they wouldn't work with this mod) And exactly what is the purpose of the mod in the first place? I get that it would increase wind protection a bit, is that it?
