KLR Milestone

I turned 10,000 miles this morning on my '06. Not a lot but I have only had it 6 months and it had 7000 when I bought it.

Keep it going.
I put 12K on my '09 in 2010, but last year less than 1K due to too much work. This year I plan another 12K+. I'm starting this weekend and will post pics promptly.

My 1990 has just over 30K...

My 2009 purchased Jan 19, 2010 has just over 20K. Catching up to the 1990 quick. Over 10K last year and 8500 miles the year before, Already 2k this year and I haven't really even started communting on it yet this year.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the indicator to the right of the High Beam light? Or is it just an empty spot?
I have 2nd Gen so I am not familiar with it.

It's an empty spot.
I heard of one guy putting an LED voltmeter bulb in there.
The bulb is a three color bulb that changes color depending on if the battery is normal, charging or draining.
I am contemplating put one in.
But I think I prefer a digital readout.

I've got one of those. Its called a Voltage Sentry from Clearwater Lights I believe. It works great, but the cable from the control box is kinda short, and the box is hard to stash.

I always thought it was the "Warp Drive Engaged" indicator.

Added the skid plate and master brake protection, man I think it looks a ton burlier. Any body catch Colbert's report on a badass dirt bike wheelier in the Lincoln tunnel? >>> http://www.colbertnation.com/the-col...lincoln-tunnel
