1991 XT600 Pliilon Pegs

well.... a little research shows that the 1991 & 1992 pillion peg mounts are very different from previous and subsequent parts. The are distinctly left or right and are also distinctly difficult to find.

Any assistance will be gratefully accepted.

if You just need them temporarily for inspection just find a couple 3-4"" bolts cover them with a piece of rubber hose and stick them in one of the foot peg bracket, threaded mounting holes, Till you find the real deal

Eh? 1994 xt 600 charging issues

Hi there,

Picked up a 1994 XT600 for the pricely sum of nothing

Runs like a dream but wont charge battery

So in the hope that you guys in this in thread are as well informed as the guys on the DR Big thread, does anyone have an idiots guide to to tracking the problem as Ive been through all the connections and cleaned them up, reg rec is good tried it on mates xt. Batteries good.

So where do I go from here.

Have you checked the continuity of the wires coming out of the stator?

after that is the schematic

Can someone please help me. I have a 90 xt600 and need the pass. footpeg bracket (U shaped connecter) for my bike (90) but can only get a 91 or 92...will either of these fit? Thanks in advance, Mttt

there seem to be some 90 pegs & mounts on ebay
i am chasing 91-92 pegs & mounts. Can you post some photos of what you have. Are they different lefts & rights ?

In the USA 90-91-92 are all the same,Go to a Yamaha Web Site and pull up the parts lists for these years You are talking about and I am pretty sure them years will all fit the right and left are different

I just checked the USA Yamaha parts site the part # are the same except the last 2 numbers-letters ,I am sure it is just color 90 is black and 91-92 are silver
