Picked this one up last week while vacationing in Jamaica...

Hamilton Khaki Conservation

"Designed" by Harrison Ford. Automatic, GMT, 24hr time, Date. Very rugged and attractive watch. The rough suede leather bracelet is pretty cool looking and at 46MM you won't need glasses to tell the time.

Limited edition to support Conservation International with Harrison Ford's "signature" etched on the inside of the case back window. All packaging is made from recycled materials and a nice booklet is supplied explaining how Conservation International is helping the land and people of the countries displayed on the rotating inner bezel time zones.

The booklet states a "significant" portion of the purchase price goes to Conservation International but gives no actual percentage or dollar amount.

I think he meant they're just harder to see at a glance.

Bingo! plus, I just prefer a dial hand combo with higher contrast. In fact, I dislike silver hands on a dial other than black, and then only if they are filled with tritinite do I like them.

Nothing technical wrong, just personal preference in the way they look. I also prefer longer wider hour and minute hands.

Kingston project - pictures and progress

Bill Yao's Kingston is slowly starting to take shape. I suspect that we'll get more bits and pieces as time progresses towards a 4Q delivery.

These are case tubes. The one on the left is from a standard MKII watch and the one on the right is from the Kingston which will have a much larger crown.

Sweet. I have a X-wind w/black face on black leather. Gets a lot of looks. I like yours a lot.

I know I'll regret not pre-ordering one of these.

You won't be alone.

The next one to "watch" for will be Bill's first Tornek-Rayville watch. This one will be interesting since he now owns the rights to the name and his version of the T-R will be every bit as good as an original.

That will get some attention. I was torn about buying a "fake" or "homage" watch but if he owns the name and sets out to rebuild the brand I think he'll find even more support. Thanks for the info.
