No... NEW dial and hands. This watch is 15 years old, now and has seen a lot of sweat, dirt and dust while I was in the Army. It was regularly serviced every 2-3 years. I wanted to replace hands and dial with the new, non-tritium luminous compound ones.

Breguet Marine Auto Big Date

I know the history of this maker but anyone know how the current generations of watches from them are doing? (they are currently part of the Swatch group).

I did a quick search and found lots of sites of selling them, but nothing from anyone who has actually purchased one and reviewed it. Looks pretty plain to me for a watch that costs over $9,000.

In a way that is part of why I like it. I like the company history, innovation and the simple yet elegant look of it. Couldn't wear it every day but the look of it just grabs me.

That's odd for a 9k watch....

I'd steer clear.

For that kind of money i'd go with a well known, well reviewed, holds it's value brand watch.

I'd look at a Patek Philippe.

ps - nothing personal but it's look doesn't look simple to me.

Nice, but if I were to spend 6K for another watch, it would be another Breitling or Rolly...that is a very classy look, but not my taste for 6K.

My adventure racing watch, made by Origo.

Digital compass, altimeter, barometer, depth distance among many other cool things it does...

That's just a sticker with a mini barcode, you take it off with the 20 other stickers every Rolex comes with. I swear I was finding tiny clear stickers on mine for days....
