What would you call the type of band on this one? Would it rip all the hair on your arm out?

I have no idea. I just like the face on the watch.

And I know very little about Omega watches. Except that when my stepfather passed away, he willed his Omega to my son, not me.

DeVille is their 'dress' watch line, it's a COSC certified chronometer, which means it's tested accurate to the swiss chrono standards [THAT watch, not just the movements design], that one has a GMT sub-hand, the small one inside so you have two time zones at your disposal.

It's not a stretch bracelet, so I don't think it would be too bad - it's not a cheap watch, so I'm sure Omega makes it so it does not defoliate your wrist when you wear it - not like the old Twist-O-Flex bands!

It's a rather understated look, bet it's smoking in 18K.

Any of you WIS's have an idea on price on this? I made a low offer and they said yes, so now I'm worried

Hie thee to the Omega forum at watchuseek? You need to get the model number - do you have that data?

Look at it this way, it's an Omega, if it's not a fake, it's worth something, it's a Chrono as well.

Interesting dial, they make a current model that is a variant of that roman/arabic - that's a new twist on the California dial I guess.

I don't know about that line in pricing, but the dealer I visited yesterday had all the Speedys right at $4K or so.

Finally!

Only took me 17 years to get my first fine watch. I'm persistent though.
Hoping to add another one in a short time, say 5 to 7 years.

Thanks. I'll give them a try.

AFAIK they didn't sell well so it is hard to find much information on them. They were around $2,500 new I think.

Yea, but the real granddaddy of all of the digital B's is the original:

Orignal Quartz Navtimer [that's what the dial says], all TI. I got this in 1989. Breitling now calls this the "Aerospace".
