Question watches

hello all,

just wondering where the best place to find info on my two watches: a seiko and a rolex watch (both from me grandfather). i searched google, but cannot seem to find the right info.

any of you connoisseurs care to lend a bit of help?

Rolex
white face (satin-like sheen)
on the face: "precision" above a little chronograph
no day or date
on the back: nothing except what appears to be a serial number.

Seiko 5
blue face with day and date
stainless construction
on the face in the lower portion: "25 jewels automatic" and in really really fooking small letters: "japan 61 8090T AD" (i think)
on the back: "stainlees steel 6119-5400 waterproof"
oh, and a serial number.

i would like to know the year of the watches, rarity, etc. the pieces are invaluable to me as they were gifts from my grandfather. trying to secure pictures soon.

i dunno, is my watch cool? not schaffhausen, patek nor even a rolex so it's probably not (the more that it's hand-winded ):

Here's one of mine. Haven't looked at it in years but I still need to replace the glass. The internals are Waltham and the case I believe has the markings of a maker in Birmingham.

I've also got a Bulova Automatic that I received after my grandad died and I'll be damned if I can find where it went. I loved that watch and had it in a small box over 4 years ago when I broke the band whilst falling off my horse. I was packing to move at the time and I haven't seen it since. Almost makes me cry.

Nice watch. I have a skeletonized manual from Invicta that's nice but not as nice as that.

Is that a functioning seconds indicator at the 9 position?

Again, I'm no expert, but I do have a GMT Master II on my arm right now and I immediately noticed the date and magnifier. The Date seems really small. Mine fills the entire magnifier. (Maybe that's just a function of the angle of the photo.) Also the 24 hour hand on mine is more, um... delicate. The red part is much thinner.

The red/blue bezel is an option, so that doesn't really tell us anything. However, the numbers on my red/black bezel are much thicker and squattier.

The crown guard almost completely covers the crown on mine.

Wait, are we really trying to determine something here or is this just an example photo someone posted and I'm making myself look like an ass for posting all this?

My Grampa gave me this:
1969 Bulova Accutron Spaceview

My step Dad took it to get fixed when I was in a Mental institution after my head injury and "says" he "lost" it.

We might need a ruling from an actual lawyer but I believe you are legally within your rights to pistol-whip stepdad until the white meat shows.

Once again, I am not a lawyer but I am pretty sure you can legally do that for losing such an awesome watch with genuine sentimental value.
