1948 Hamilton "Milton"
![]() 27x36mm 14k gold filled case, manual winding 19 jewels -- completely restored and serviced for less than 200 bucks! beautiful, but too small for anything but formal duty.

I got my Breitling back from it's first service at the weekend - dropped it off after 7 years of use and abuse. 6 weeks and £280 later, I got this:
Another box - I didn't deliver it to the store in a box: ![]() Nicely packaged inside: ![]() And a very nicely prepared watch - many of the scratches on the strap and case had been polished out, and the numbers in the bezel are now black, at least I don't think they were black when I gave them the watch! They also replaced the crown as the rubber had perished meaning it was no longer waterproof.

Nice Colt. I see that Brietling has discontinued that watch again. I have a first-generation Colt GMT. Oddly enough, mine is starting to run slow and needs service as well, I need to call my guy in San Francisco and arrainge to ship it to him for a clean-lube-adjust.
I'm getting itchy for another watch, but I also need a headset for the amateur radio, a linear amplifer, and a hexxbeam.....decisons decisons.

I like a good watch as much as anyone, but I don't care for the absurd.
