Recently acquired a Seiko Spring Drive Small Seconds just like this one. It's still in the box waiting for Christmas!

Why is it when everr I wear my old ass Zodiac Desert Hawk people say Hey man, nice Rolex? But when I wear a Rolex, (President) no one says that? Maybe they think the Pres is a fake because I don't look like I can afford a real one?

Goddamn that's special!

I've got my eyes on only one automatic watch. But I don't call that watch my grail watch. At the moment, I call the Seiko Grand Chrono my grail watch. Its just a real cool combination of robust mechanics, and power drive innovation. And it's a chrono, which is just a little quirk I have about my watches...they all gotta be chronos, and they can't have a tachymeter scale on 'em.

Hey, boys and girls.

How much, if any, will this engraving on the back of a Rolex reduce its selling price? Or, would this engraving dissuade you from purchasing it?

the back of a watch is the bestplace to mod it... Bcs it's easily swapped back to stock...particularly if it's in production

It's the Bark bracelet mine has on it. Those who don't know that was an option, think it is fake. More power to em because I hope everyone thinks it is fake because then they won't try to steal it!

Right, and unless it was a collectable Rolex in the first place, the answer is none.

Well, I HAD a cool watch...

Yeah, I HAD a cool watch...a 1965 Bulova Accutron "Spaceview" model. It looked just like this:

What happened to it? Here's the SAD story...

My dad gave me the Accutron as a high school graduation present in 1965. What a cool watch!! Anyway, on March 30, 1972 I was involved in a bicycle crash (which killed my training partner and best friend) and put me in traction for two months w/broken femur, etc. I was in a coma for two weeks.

Now get this: the ambulance driver was a high school buddy of mine and noticed the Accutron was STILL RUNNING after the crash (takes a licking and...) But by the time I got to the hospital it was gone...

Yup, somebody had stolen my beautiful Accutron Spaceview while I was unconscious with a broken femur. I think the "law of Karma" has something in store for them.

Anyway, once upon a time I HAD a cool watch...

It's definitely got a certain bling factor without being over the top. The stick hands and that dial work nicely together. Cool watch!
