I Just saw a 7751-based Dubey on some gov auction site less than a week ago...was thinking about ths thread. Wasn't nearly as cool as the one you've got your eyes on though!

You can pick them up cheap because the collectors tend to ignore them apart from a few who buy them because they like them.

That D&S was a limited edition of 50 in 18K with the R92 movement and is less than a steel Daytona. It has wayyy more appeal to me.

Less than a steel daytona...that's nuts.

A couple of weeks ago, I bought my first chronograph, a Jacques Lemans. I like it so much, I bought my sister the women's version for her 50th birthday.

Sure hope she likes it.

that watch screams class. or rather, politely announces it. I'd love a gold tank watch on leather. I sold my hamilton because it was too small despite by best attempts to rationalize it, "oh it's from the 40s" -- nope.
Good luck with that deal. Love the dual chrono.

Hah, watches!!!!

Bit of a passion for me, in particular dive watches. Fortunately, belonging to a group of fellow WIS means I can indulge in the game of 'finding the grail watch' by flipping the watch onto someone else to offset the cost of the incoming!
Here's a few from the ever-changing collection:

Breitling B-1

I've yet to find a better travel watch, it gives me everything I need when abroad: three time zones, alarm, chrono and spot-on accuracy.

Deep Sea Sea Dweller

A very big lump of a watch and one that many find simply too big to wear. I don't.

Seamaster GMT

I tend to prefer the older Omega's, but this one has ben with me for a while due to it's clear legibility.

Seiko Spring Drive MM 600

Awesome watch, Seiko can make the equal of any Swiss manufacturer and this is a good example.

Submariner bi-metal

This has accompanied me on over 1000 dives and remains one of my favourite pieces, although not a lover of two tone watches generally this one just works for me.

Bell & Ross Hydromax

Deep enough for just about anyone, really!

Omega X-33

I had a love/hate relationship with this: whilst it gave me everything I could want from a quartz it never appealed as much as the B-1 does for travelling (despite the awesome back-light which aided me to many hotel bathrooms in the night!).

I do have some non-watches too, but perhaps they'll keep for another time!

And finally some pics of the dive-watches doing what they're designed for.......

Thanks for looking.

Here is my old watch, a decent Citizen Eco-Drive:

And here is my new Invicta SAN III, I will be getting it for X-mas, it is freakin huge:

Both were purchased from CL, the Invicta has an extended warranty through 2015.

Yep, that's handsome. Classic looks, easy to read, and the red hands are a nice touch.
