They don't wear anything, they're in constant contact with tenders on the surface. All these dive watches with Helium escape valves etc. like the Omega are a scam, there are only a few thousand saturation divers if that on the planet and they don't wear a watch except on the beach.

Oh, that is so pretty. JOOC, do you know what he stole it for? Sure looks like its in great shape, and I love Cathedral hands.

I wouldn't say its in good condition, the adjuster knob doesn't screw tight, its not original bracelet, but its heavy and automatic

What does the collective wisdom think for a value?

IIRC, the crown on a 6105 does NOT screw down. It has a pin in the case and grooves in the crown. Line up a groove with the pin and push it home. That locks the crown, preventing it from turning. Try the Seiko-Citizen Watch Forum. There is a huge font of knowledge of the Seiko divers, modern and vintage.

That's a beautiful SD! I have a 1999 Gold and SS Sub that has "Swiss" only. The fakes I've seen have all had "Swiss Made", on them. From what I've learned, Rolex only did this on 1998 and 1999 watches.

My GS riding friend is a saturation diver ( he's diving in asia at the moment, in a saturation chamber, 148 Km's out of the gulf of thailand), and wears his bashed around old seadweller when he works.

Here's one of his posts on another forum, i haven't a clue what it means

"just a couple of points soapy, if doing HEO2 sat , helium valve needed, if doing an air sat, its not.

"the bezel is useful when sat diving to
a) monitor your "hours notice to dive" request and,
b) as bellman, your O2 injection whilst in the bell. "

Thats him at 125 metres

And he should be on a job off china later in the year which will be around 250-270m..

And he is wearing a Kirby Morgan Superlite 17 Helmet. I dove one of those many times, along with their Band Mask, and the AGA Mask.
