Man I'm really digging lum-tec's all of a sudden, especially with the introduction of their combat series. Great modern military watch -- above my pay grade -- otherwise probably would've sprung for one.

Love it. Do they come in smaller versions? For me, it'd be perfect watch at 40-42mm. On my 7.25" wrist 45mm feels like a pocket watch.

I purchased a lum tec this past December. Never had a watch bigger than 42 mm. The lum tec seems to wear smaller than it is. I usually don't notice I'm wearing it until I put on a coat or a button down shirt and it gets hung up on the sleeve. Watchtalkforums has a good lum tec page with plenty of wrist shots. I basically banned myself from the site so I wouldn't break the bank.

Why would the designer give priority to a watch face numerals 5-55 without the traditional use of 1-12?


This design feature (above) would be useful if it had a rotation bezel.

Because for the military, planning, report, calculation and schedule are more based on the "minute past the hour" than the hour itself. Especially in aviation.
