Yup I mildly jumped mine and the left one bent. Not 45 degrees though but enough to notice.

My New (Barn Find) Minimalist Touring Bike

I was stalking craigslist searching for a small commuter bike when this popped up. Unbelievable condition. The carb boot was cracked from sitting in a garage for 35 years. Luckily I found and ordered the last 2 in existence from Indonesia. It starts up and runs great. With those hard cases and a rack, I can load my camping gear on there and hit the Idaho back roads this year. 252 original miles on the clock.

They are but appear new with no cracking. I have located replacements in spite of their condition.

It is not hydraulic though. It is a cable operated caliper.

A golden bike from the golden age.
What are the odds?

I tried to review the bike's life: 's been produced, ridden around the block, and then stored carefully for 455 Moons to be found, mint fresh, by you.
Divine.

I'm only not too happy with the cases: a bit too 80's.

I actually purchased the cases. The bike just happened to be included.

The Honda CB200 had the same thing, worked fine. No problem.

Idaho has plenty of scenic 2 lane highway to explore. It's going to be a great summer.
