Dempster Hwy - Canada - June 2010
Here are a few photos taken on the Dempster Highway this past June. I have documented proof that the sun does actually shine on that highway sometimes and we were blessed with a good weather window!
There were three of us who went: two women and one guy, who luckily had a good sense of humor as we harassed him quite a bit. One other guy joined us off and on throughout the trip. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's Kristin and I at the NorthWest Territory border.

Maybe it wasn't such a lonely highway, as there was other traffic. But it had been over six months since I had seen another motorcycle on the road, and it would be two more days from this point before I would see one again.
A few miles southwest of Dawson Creek, B.C. on the John Hart Highway with the temperature just a few degrees above zero F.
