I'd much rather do it here.

Even at 05:00.

Route de la Baie-James.

A road so lonely, only my shadow for company.

This picture is way too busy, but I like the dramatic contrasts.

And it's a lonely road.

So its dirt and only Five miles long. It dead ends at each end with it’s only connecting road about half way. Almost chalk line strait. It doesn’t seem to go anywhere. Why is it there? Just ride!

looks like you stopped on the express lanes on 401 east near the airport just past the dixie ramps...it wouldn't be too bad to stop for gas there provided you didn't mind running across 6 lanes of highway traffic, LOL...

I'd hate to run out of gas in a place like this.

The road from High Island, TX to Sabine Pass...

Very little asphalt remains, aside from the football-sized chunks, after the devastating hurricanes from last year...

Eventually even the double track fades, and you're left with the Gulf of Mexico to the left, nothing at all to the right, and straight ahead... a fantastic road with no end in sight...

I was too lazy to make the pics linkable... If you replace the 'L' with and 'O' in the picture URL you get full size (HUGE!! - carefull if you only have dial-up!!! )
