Great thread - pretty hard act to follow !!!!! but here's a few

Hurley Pass - Northwest of Whistler, BC

Joffre Lake - 10 minutes off Hwy 99 just south of Cayoosh Pass - NE of Whistler, BC

Duffy Lake - a few miles north of Cayoosh Pass

one of the passes on the North Cascades Hwy - Washington State

OK, home now. Mind you this is a state highway in California. On the East side, it is one steep, twisty goat path remnant of the gold rush. I cannot describe it well enough for you here; no matter what I would throw out.
If you have never been to California, places like this DO exist. Just not in soap operas and movie sets.

Somewhere in France or Italy (we got lost), found a huge old fort. This was the end of the road for us, we had to turn around and go back.

The place was full of grasshoppers, millions of them.
