Yup... mine was $6900 plus $600 for the on the road costs.... made me happy!
The 2008 model is supposed to be a fair whack more expensive, well thats what I was told but as its still the same bike I was more than happy to take an '07 at that price.

No doubt that it probably was a bit of artistic tongue wagging but I doubt if I waited for the '08 model I was gonna get it at that price until this time next year when the '09 comes out. And I'm a needin' for some riding now! To wait any longer would drive my wife crazy with all my moaing etc.....

Hmm thats a valid point but we cant let the fun police get away with it!! and any ways as much as I like my new bike I want a bit of noise I have to check to see if its running!!

Other than that little glitch I am really happy with it!! rides like a dream and does everything I ask of it doesnt even talk back like the minister for war and finance!!

My riding area is much larger than the local loop, I dont buzz around and around and annoy people, I prefer to travel.

IMO the staintune has a nice note and helps keep wildlife away.

And fill in your profile noob.

For sure it looks like a great place to go riding. I wonder what it looks like when under snow? It might be a greener place this spring after some rain?

BTW have you ever been tempted to buy a white rear guard for the DR for continuity sake? (I don't have one just asking).

Dont mind at all got some pix of it somewhere

The TT belgarda was a fine dirt / enduro bike/ wheelie machine, but less good at distance. It had much better suspension (ohlins) but the donk was vibey and ran out of puff too early was screaming at 110. The DR has a better engine, smoother, with a better top end and will sit on 130k all day. With work the DR suspension can come close. The DR has a better rear sub frame for carting suff, has a cush rear hub, oil cooler and is better set up for the long haul. The TT was using oil at 30k the DR uses none at 50k. A few other reasons. I do have fond memories of the particularly good suspension on the Iti built yamaha.

The DR carries shit better

Somewhere near Biga

thanks mate, a friend of mine has a 99belgarda he is thinking of selling and i was thinking of getting it off him , but its sounds like a dr would be better suited. There seams to be an awfull lot of after market for the dr.
