where to post this???
I am ready to put the wheels back on my bike, I have done a bare frame restoration, my spokes are rusty and I dont have the cash to buy new ones at this time, any tips on how to make the spokes look better?????

wire wheel, on grinder, buff each one an paint with a clear coat, or maybe find one of those do it yourself chrome vats for small parts.

This should be punted to Old School.
However, use strips of 400 or 600 grid sand paper to get the coarse rust off, then use a scotch brite pad and finally some polish like nevrdull. I'm doing this with my CB550 wheels now and it's a PITA. 80 spokes per wheel. If you're doing a full bling, frame up resto, you should consider saving up for NOS or stainless spokes and ride the old wheels in the meantime |
