Must share: cant help myself:

Roma still takes the prize for highest jump I've seen. Naturally I didnt have a camera with me... but these are still pertty cool.

Hey Rapid dog, is that haze a lot of smog? The settings on your camera must be playing games-- I thought for a minute that one shot of your PD was a different bike-- it looks Orange, or burnt umber/whatever, and I thought "huh, thats a very strange color for a GS... then it came to me, of course...
this thought was increased by your last shot-- came out green?
Are you doing this on purpose? Just curious.

V7 Sport - I'm on it!

I'm no Sport expert, but maybe dig around a little bit if you really care about the details. As I recall, the super rare ones are the red framed models (maybe a hundered or so originals...only 2000 left....). The V7 Sport shares many, many parts with the t/t-3 series. The "Tonti" framed Guzzi's are really like legos. As you said, you can make them aggressive or raise the bars up for more relaxed riding. I used to have the bars super low, far below the gauges. As my years increase, the bars get higher...they will be ape hangers when I'm 50..(40 now). If you get the bike, let me know if you need an parts, I've got a few boxes of Tonti frame parts (not too much Sport specfic).

Dude, It was great to meet you at the Sheet iron this past weekend. That is a super fun event. I had a blast.

So yes, you are totally right about the V7 Sport. The Telaio Rosso, "red frame" as it was known, was made as a limited production prototype with the new Tonti frame. Less than 100 made in '71, never came stateside, and was sold mostly for Lemans style endurance racing. A very few had the silver frames with red tanks. the rest were red frames with green tanks. The production model Sports were only made for two years after that, about 1000 in all. They ALL had black frames with green, black or red tanks. So many wanna bee's have painted their frames red or silver over the years, it's fair to say at this point, most are fakes. The bike was a marketing failure! Price was too high at the time considering the the CB750 or even the Kz-1000 were sold for nearly half what it cost for a Sport.

This one appears to be primo with all the good stuff in a new refurb. We will see soon. Leaving for Denver on Friday, I'll ride it home the long way over the weeks. Wish me luck. It's a little scary riding a 30 some year old motorcycle nearly 2000 miles, sight unseen.

Black Goose Ride Report to follow...

Here a few more teaser shots. Yeah, I know it's only Wednesday. Can't wait for Friday..
