And this magnificent Lancaster which is one of only two flying in the world. This one lives in Hamilton's own Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum while The Royal Air Force maintains the other in Britain. Four Rolls Royce Merlin V-12's is something to hear!

Avro Lancaster: British heavy bomber. Carried twice the payload of a B-17.

P-38 was a much lighter American built twin engined, twin boomed fighter-bomber. Like the P-51, it used licence built versions (Packard/Allison) of the Rolls Royce Merlin engine.

I suppose I should have identified the pics above. The yellow biplane is a Boeing Stearman followed by the P-51 Mustang and B-25 Mitchell bomber.

Here's another view of the Avro Lancaster.

Thanks R-Dubb, those are the kits I'm getting from Buffalo Bearing for $23. Did the #1 GS/PD over the winter and now have a kit for the #2 GS.

How's McPeeDee working? Have you got the suspension sorted yet?

Am having much fun confounding the local ADV posers with the #1 GS/PD. Maybe it's the balls?

McPeeDee is such a big hoot!!! It revs through the roof with zero hesitation. Power band goes beyond all reason. So smooth you can't feel the revs at all. A few accidental trips to 9000rpm. I'm installing a rev limiter this weekend. Fortunately the alternator was the only casualty.

Handling on the track was excellent! No surprises whatsoever. I'm pretty much a pussy, so I haven't scraped the crash bars.

It still alternates between busy and harsh only on very tight, bumpy roads. That's just the character of the dampening on my front end. No real cure other than messing with the clickers. I might try changing the fork oil to 10w and see if the fork valves like that any better.
