Floor came out pretty nice, super flat, but hollow sounding. I wanted to use cork as an insulator, but the budget wasn't there. I like weird projects, they make my brain work.

Yeah, dontcha love it when someone with 10 years as a cell phone contractor knows more than someone with 20 years of actual real work experience. I've been know to rub some people the wrong way, when being adamant about doing things the right way. Damn I get paid to do things right and that's what I'm gonna do.

...in my case....OH tile has to be flush to the hardwood, so only use 1/4" dourock on top of the 3/4" plywood......and spec is 1 1/4" sub floor under tile. DA's don't come crying to me when tile and grout cracks! 23 years of this shit...yeah I can be a sombitch....

Thank you. It is an absolute pleasure to ride. I too could hit the road for a long time on it

This could be an interesting build to watch -- do you have a build thread anywhere? You should start one on wildguzzi.com.

Our 1915 uber-bungalow used oak in the rooms, and heart pine in the halls, closets and stair treads. I guess it was the cheap wood then. It has 1 X 6 (8?) diagonal subfloor underneath.

The floors were black when we bought it, but when the floor guy sanded it the heart pine smelled like fresh pine resin and came out a beautiful red color.

I sailed in to Hobart in July once, roughly 3 weeks after sailing from Jakarta.

That pic just reminded me how damn cold I was! Salamanca Place on a Sunday? Still has great coffee obviously.

It is the joy of living in Tassie in winter. It is Sunday again. Balmy 36f, 40 mph winds and snow down to 200m. Time to get the bike out. Last sunday of the month is micro brewery day.

This one is from WBO Racing in Germany. The PO bought it maybe 12 years ago from Stein Dinse and never got much further. It came with a new aircraft type cap that I need to install.
