That poor rotor sure looks hopeless trapped in there. Hope it's not losing any material on the outer surface - the power generated is directly proportional to the gap between it and the stator. A thousandth less will generate much less current. I've heard some of the rotors were larger in diameter and can generate five more amps due to that alone.
