Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

That poor rotor sure looks hopeless trapped in there. Hope it's not losing any material on the outer surface - the power generated is directly proportional to the gap between it and the stator. A thousandth less will generate much less current. I've heard some of the rotors were larger in diameter and can generate five more amps due to that alone.

That's taking tuck and roll a bit far, don't you think? Besides, it wouldn't make for very cushy upholstery!

But, yeah - I wonder what the story was behind that? Car tires, and none of them matching??

I've hauled a lot of things on the back of my bike, but the funniest one was an engine I just bought. It was so heavy that once I had it strapped on back, I couldn't get the bike off the center stand by myself. I had a couple hundred miles to go and knew I'd have to stop for gas so just sat the bike while refueling. There was no way the side stand would hold the bike up and no way was I getting it up on the center stand till the destination.

Just then a passer-by gawked, then laughed "I've seen all sorts of things on the back of a MC; tires, wheels, and other stuff, but never a spare motor!"
