man that's cool. How'd you go from jumping out of helicopters to this?

ps. I fixed your picture so it'd be acceptable for a motorcycle thread. No need to worry about hijacking.

I don't know. school was obviously a factor, but aviation wrenching and other wrenching in a world of design engineers that can't tie their shoes probably made me most eligible for the field stuff. Problem is, I don't want to go back to the office now.

Wasn't built or designed by the Dutch, but I'm glad they had the $ to pay for it.

I certainly am enjoying Holland. Great place.

I'm going to be conducting experiments on a proposed new satellite propulsion system in zero-g in 3 weeks. We were assembling the pressurized experiment box, progress going really slow, and the guy I was with kept calling all the nuts, "bolts."

"This bolt won't fit."

Amen. I'll never be a high level analytical engineer, but I bridge the gap nicely to help some of the high level design guys connect with reality. I just helped one change his oil a couple weeks ago for the first time in his life. He didn't know that the filter twisted on and off.

And once again, it's not Friday...

But it's the first chance I've had to upload some pictures.

Found these on a small road off the side in a dorm-like area here in Groningen. I'm pretty sure the head of Jimi Hendrix adds another 20HP.

To go on from the genius engineer's discussion, I've seen many engineering marvels where I've thought "How did they do that?", and then I've seen other attempts at engineering and thought "Why did they do that?".

Thanks for the education Dat ...
