NOt nearly enough action in old school.

Must be the first nice weekend of the year in the places that get a real end of winter.
I got a ride in Yesterday morning, and I've got tomorrow off. Obviously slaving away today

Here is the Guiness book of Worlds Records Largest Garden Gnome.
Gnome Chomsky is his name. He is 13' tall, and resides at Gnome on the Grange minature golf course in Kerhonkson, NY. "Kerhonkson" is only coincidentally funny.

Simple by design

500 miles from home On a Sunday in the middel of nowhere OR we start running on one cyl I find that the "C" clip that holds the main needle up has failed - HMMM really small thing!

THis is why I own Airheads - I used a small piece of hose clamp cut out one "eye" and opend it up slid it over the nedele and 8 hours later home!

I left that thing in place -untill I sold the bike ( I did buy a pair of clips and kept them with me but the fix was in and undooing a running bike seemed like bad karma.

Thats great! The failure rate on those spring clips is pretty low. Love the fix. What led you to surmise it was the needle/clip?

I had one of those clips fail on my Laverda and heard it go through the motor, luckly no damage but it hit with a horrible clunk.

there's one on the seat

this one is "hers" much like your listed R90. The girlfriend likes to ride, not tinker with gas soaked parts. She lets me take it sometimes, if I promise not to get it dirty.

When I pulled the air tube off I saw the needel in place but when I lifted the slide it stayed put ! so no fuel other than some from enrichers ( choke)

Kind of wierd but but the fix was simple enough once I thought of it.

Seems the new 88+ needels are made of AL and wear relitively fast. the Po may have fiddeled some with settings and dammaged it but...

Now selling My 99R1100gs to go back to airhead GS much slower but I feel much more capable of repairing when ( not if) things go wrong.
