Wells books routes
Attached are routes from Charles Wells' books (great books, buy them from www.funtreks.com to get spiral bound, much easier to use and they don't fall apart). Northern Colorado, Colorado, and Moab.

Is there a correlation between the waypoint numbering system and the Easy, Moderate and Difficult designations used by the books? Be nice to know before heading out.

I've not actually looked at them yet!
Snagged them from another forum and thought they would be useful here. I have DeLorme Western topo coming, and plan on loading the Utah routes for a lookee see, and downloading them to my GPS. I would doubt there is a correlation though... Also, 4x4 difficulty doesn't always map well to motorcycle difficulty. For example, Rose Garden Hill is not terribly difficult in a 4x4, but is a challenge on a larger dualsport. Likewise, Spring Creek Trail in Colorado is a challenge in a 4x4, but will absolutely beat you to death and work your bootie on a motorcycle. Conversely, I find Gold Spike to not be all that hard headed south to north on a bike, but it has some challenging spots in a 4x4. YMMV.
