A few photos from last weekend ...
I'd heard on the grapevine of an overnighter heading down to Northcliffe, but with only one day free I rode with this motley crew down to Balingup on Saturday and then peeled off and headed back to Perth, and the rest of the group carried on further south. Thanks Ross for sending me your photo's !!!
I think I counted 6 bikes and 6 sidecars - and whilst the two post-vintage Honda XLV750's looked great, it was the sidecars that really caught everyone's eyes. Here's a few pics ... Forming up in Armadale ... ![]() Sweet XLV750 ... ![]() Beards are mandatory, so I discovered ... ![]() Lost again. To my credit - I was the first one to get lost .... duh !!!! ![]() ![]() Action down south ... ![]() ![]() Deep sand was no obstacle to the litre plus sidecars .... ![]() Unstoppable, these sidecar boys ... ![]() Closer shot of the action ...

Cool sidecars
![]() ![]() ![]() I have a one that's only suitable for the bitumen but definitely want a dirt oriented one after my current ride.

Kathmandu
Heads up.
![]() Went into Kathmandu in the city today just happened to be walking past. Anyway, its moving and the prices are very good, 50-60% off just about everything. Which brings their pricing down to reasonable. I got some good stuff.

"Exhilarating !!!"
When mum was in an induced coma and potentially on her last legs in ICU at the start of this year I'd sit next to her bed late into the night and talk about whatever came into my mind - and in the process I told mum that when she got better I'd take her for a drive in a sidecar. Well - she got better, I got a sidecar, and today she had her first drive in it - up to Mundaring for a coffee. Mum's assessment of traveling in a sidecar - "Exhilarating !!!!". My assessment of this little dream coming true - worth every cent
![]() I think dad regrets handing in his motorcycle licence a few years ago. He's never climbed on any of my bikes but he can't stay off the sidecar! I took him for a lap around the block before I took mum to make sure he was comfortable with the idea, and he couldn't stop grinning when we got back home ... ![]() Sidecar race face ...

That is such a great story Vince! Made me smile. I'm glad your mum is better, and very brave to get in the sidecar.

took both my parents for a ride on Good Friday , old man is still raving about it.
took the grand daughter out today , asked her if she wanted to go "flying " , I could hear her laughing and screaming over the sound of the engine as we cruised up the road on 2 wheels, she was over the other week when we were building the seats all she could talk about was going for a ride in the chair. LOVING THE RIDE
