Thanks! I rebuilt the engine from the crankshaft up once, top end again just 3,000 miles ago. About 8 years ago I took it all the way down to the frame, bead blasted, repainted, and put back together with all new bearings, etc. As it sits you could ride it across the country tomorrow. Thinking about riding it to the Laguna Seca MotoGP again this coming summer.

I was thinking that was an "ES", but, those came later. Anyway, I remember Wes Cooley rockin' the "S" model.

I had a '78 GS 750 for a first bike and, then, to a '83 GS 1100E. However, my heart still desires a '82 Katana. Someday........

Thanks for the pics, "Skowinski".

The Britten was an amazing bike, created by an amazing man. It is a shame that he is gone.

I picked this up in 1992 when I was in New Zealand, and somehow it has survived several moves. It's a poster for a race series they had going there at the time. If you look at the photo, one of the bikes there is a Britten.

Got this on the wall in my Moto-Lounge.

Very very jealous. I've thought about trying to get a poster made but I can't even find a picture with a high enough resolution to blow up.
