OK, not pretty or sterile, but works...

30x40ft, built it in 2005. still a work in progress, and needs a good cleaning, I am in the process of completing the machine shop/wood shop/gun reloading area which will be 15x18 when completed. the entire thing is for toys only. The wife is not happy as a made her buy a mat for her parking area which she has never been able to use because its full of motorcycle restoration projects.

Bikes that are rideable, built a rack for smaller ones:

Bike snowmobile and ATV work shop area:

Machine shop area, gun reloading too!

New 09 DRZ400s for me and a pitster pro I picked up for the boys:

The view from the work bench out:

Something tells me you aren't being bothered too much by the downturn in the economy, huh? Now, where the heck is that drool smiley?

LMAO! Yeah, you only live once right? Besides, playing in the shop and riding keeps me from crying every time I look at my 401K balance.... At least I'll have lots of projects to keep me busy when I go on welfare after I retire in 10 years! Oh I should have mentioned the boys are only two-years-old and 8-months, so I guess the Pitster Pro was really for me, OOPs, another "don't tell the wife" statement...

Actually, I'm just very jealous of all the people on here who have garages/shops as big or bigger than my house. Some of which are actually 2 story shops.

Hey, mine is a mobile garage, called a Subaru Outback.

I particularly love the expressions I get when people go to get in, and I have to move strange objects into the back. Body parts, sketchy cardboard boxes, tools, you name it.

To all you folks working out of a shed or car/truck. Been there, I can't tell you how many engines and restoration projects I had laying around apartments, and cramped rental homes with no work space before we actually bought a nice place and put up a big shop. You'll get there. Small space builds shop character later in life....

I built my man castle in the corner of a piece of land I bought 4 years ago, leaving the central/prime location for the main house -- which I have yet to build. We use it as a weekend get-a-way. Since I didn't know what the main house was going to look like, I decided to go with a barn-motif for this building. It has a 400 sf studio apartment/loft above the garage. However, admittedly, my man castle differs from the others here in that this garage is used to store non-motorized gear -- e.g., windsurfing, skiing, cycling.
