2009 ktm 400 xcw

Selling my 2009 KTM 400 XCW, to replace with a 450 so I have another spare motor for Dakar.

Will be sold stock, including a KTM headlight, taillight, and a CO street title. Will include briefcase, I haven't ever opened it so I assume the toolkit is inside but have to check. Graphics shown below will be replaced by as new stock plastic, which I took off when I bought it.

Bike has ~75 hours, ~1700 miles. Titled. Was new in December of last year. Needs absolutely nothing, runs awesome, jetted for elevation. Looks new except for a minor dent in the header.

I own all the different sizes- 400, 450, 530 - of this motor. The 400 is the nicest one for trailriding- super smooth, torquey (unlike a 250 4T) and revvy (unlike the bigger motors). It uses practically no energy to ride, it just does what you want, without ever beating you up.

Putting feelers out, it's not quite ready for sale. Will be next week. $5500 obo. PM me if you're interested.

This is a really nice bike! I liked Ned's so much I bought one for myself.

KTM only made this bike in 2009 and 2010 and used ones are hard to find, DAMHIK.

Bills and a pending layoff are forcing the sale of my beloved VFR. The bike has just under 15k on it (14685, and probably won't change too much). I did a 2800 mile trip at the end of June and it performed flawlessly. The bike has newer Michelin Pilot Road 3s on it (they have about 3k miles, but don't show it). Bike has been dropped on the right side. Has some scratches(shown in last picture), but in good condition.

It has the following add-ons on it:
OEM Saddlebags (from an 06, so they are black and not red)
Helibars (1in up and 1 in back for more comfortable ride)
ThrottleMeister Throttle Lock (these are the heavy version)
MotyDesign Lithium Ion Battery
Voltmeter installed on dash
BLS Lowering Pegs

Oil just changed a week ago.

Had wiring harness recall performed 3k miles ago. Also installed the VFR-ness just after the recall was performed.

New Chain 3k miles ago

Clean title in hand

$6000 with Saddlebags
$5500 without Saddlebags
(Bluebook is $5800 without any accessories and with 20k miles)

Will knock off $250 for an Inmate, and donate $100 to the site.
Will also throw in an extra regulator/rectifier that I picked up as a spare for my trip.

Call/Text Dan at 719.238.6448 with any questions. Bike is in Colorado Springs, but can help deliver if its not too far.

You do? Now why would you have that seat? Am I going to see you on "hoarders" some day partially buried by motorcycle parts?

I'm going to you first from here on out.

Do you have a working starter for that bike?

Thanks Tony!!
