EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE start

Wait til that xt350 is super hot on a summer day and it's been dropped with the wheels uphill . By the time you get it up and start kicking on the hill that baby will NOT start on one kick from flip-flops! 15-30 kicks with sweat pouring in all directions . yuck!

But when/if it does start without going back down to the bottom of the hill or bumpstarting it, the cool breeze will feel soooooo great!! ( I am seriously trying to make the glass half full )

Now that you've mentioned it though, I thought about the inevitable noob-terror i'll experience when i kill the bike in traffic.
If money isn't an issue, buy an e-start. You will thank yourself later.

Still for sale, revised pricing...

Bike is still available, asking $6600 with the Scotts Damper or $6400 without the damper. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

Before I post in the main flea market, I thought I'd try a local sale of my 2007 KTM 640 Adventure. It currently has about 10,500 miles on it and is in great shape. It has a few scuffs and marks from being ridden like it was meant to, but nothing really visible. Upgrades include:

- Stillwell Suspension rebuild front and rear (all springs replaced and valving redone by Alan himself)
- Billet Racing Products Triple Clamp for Scotts Damper (price doesn't include damper, but would be willing to sell)
- Guts Racing Seat (about 1" - 1.5" taller than stock) with gripper cover
- Hepco and Becker Tank Guards (these are brand new. Old guards in photo were removed and replaced)
- Renthal Bar swapped for higher rise
- Kaoko Throttle Lock
- Heated grips with waterproof switch located on dash
- KTM folding mirrors
- SuperSprox rear sprocket and chain recently added
- Happy Trails Rear Racks and pannier set (already stickered as you can see)
- Touratech Rear Rack extension plate
- SW Motech Side Stand (this has been customized to clear the HT Panniers)
- Hyde racing windscreen
- ADVmonster volt meter
- RAM GPS mount (bolted to dash board)
- I have a Garmin 60CSX that i would be willing to sell and include the wiring kit already installed on the 640
- KTM air cleaner cover has been replaced with the open mesh version and the snorkel has been removed
- Carb has been re-jetted and the external fuel/air screw installed

I think that about covers it and I can post or send more pictures to anyone who is interested. Bike is located in Boulder, CO and I am asking $6700 or BO. Certainly open to negotiating, so don't hesitate to drop me a PM.

Lastly, the only reason I am looking to sell is so i can upgrade to a 950/990. My trips are getting longer and I have a 2+ week trip through Baja and Mexico planned for this fall, so I am looking to get a bit more road performance without making a complete sacrifice in the off-road department.

Picture below is from a trip last year, so it doesn't include the triple clamp or new HB tank guards, but it does show the bike loaded with panniers and should give you a good idea of what I am selling and what you might be riding.

Here are some recent pics showing the new tank guards and BRP triple clamp:

Non-potable water tanks

***Tentatively sold to Joz!***

I have two 250 gallon tanks. They're poly with a steel cage around them. Used for chemicals but have been triple rinsed. Fill cap on top with threaded nipple and ball valve on bottom.

I wouldn't use them for people or livestock but would work well for irrigation.

$30 each picked up in Conifer
$45 each picked up in Parker (I have to go get them from Conifer)
Will deliver to locations along 470/285 for $45

Other delivery pricing depends on location

Thanks!

I don't know what you are going to. I really liked the Conti off road tire. They only make one. That tire gripped well. It was fairly open so it worked well in sand. And it made the best of two worlds. Soft side walls and hard knobs.

Kawi Concours

Hey all-

Just returned from a fly and ride from San Diego w/an '88 Kawi Concours for my spring fling. The bike ran great w/only an oil light that came on during the last part of the trip. Had the oil sending wiring harness replaced and all is well. Bike has 37K for miles and is in good working order. LOcated in Steamboat, but could possibly deliver to the Front Range area.

Goodies:
Rifle windscreen
Bar Risers
Gen-mar lowering peg kit
Aux lights
Sealed battery
Recovered Seat
Clymer service manual

Recent work done:
Oil Sending wiring harness
Oil change
Power outlet added
Fork seals replaced
New tires w/wheel bearings (2K on them)
Coolant system flushed
Head bearing replaced
$1100!

Previous owner:
oil change
replaced petcock
valves checked and w/in spec
carbs sync'd
final drive oil changed
front brake and clutch fluid changed
clutch rod seal replaced
spark plug changed

Clean title in my name and ready to go. I can get better pix as well.
$2350/obo
