It fits me well, it's just not comfortable. Guess i'm the wrong body shape for it or something.

2008 ktm 530 exc-r

SOLD!
Hello, my name is John. A few years ago I wanted to regain my youth and was convinced that a 2008 KTM 530 EXC-R (with the better made euro-rotax) was the way to go if I wanted to hang with the cool kids. I bought it, upgraded the seat, added a larger tank, and a cool carbon fiber skid plate. It has 271 miles spread over 10.9 hours of use. I only took it a couple times up into the mountains. If you are familiar with these bikes, you need to know what you are doing, especially in the mountains, or pay for angering the KTM Gods! I have gone over the bars twice but the bike only has some minor scrapes on the hand guards and bar ends and the bars/levers are not bent. Now, before any of you poo-poo my wanting to get rid of such a sweet bike, my GS1150, Ural, & Triumph cafe get the lions share of my riding time and there is a CB cafe project in the shop needing attention. As was once said, "A man has to know his limitations". Mine is in the wallet that is needing to be spread over my shop full of projects. I simply don't ride this bike enough and it deserves a home where it will be fully utilized. It is currently plated/licensed in Colorado and I just got the title from my bank. Since it is in like new condition, I'm asking $4750 obo. Money talks (in person) and I am not hooked up to anything but my cell phone, so no emails or texts. I won't respond to them. Bike is located in Mancos, CO. No trades, unless you have a running Vincent or Triumph, then I might consider it. I'd rather be doing the Ton than the Divide! Thanks! John - 970799244Five

I am looking for some used kids moto-x boots. My 8 year old is a size four (adult). Please shoot me a note if you have something cheap. I don't want to spend a bunch because he is outgrowing things loooong before he wears them out. Thanks

Lookin' for a trade - my bicycle for your riding gear.

About the bike: It's a 2000 Cannondale F900SX Lefty. That means it has the Lefty fork. It's pretty well in stock form except for a few upgrades (~2006): XT rear derailleur, XT Hollowtech crank, XTR rear brake lever connected to an Avid mechanical disc and a cushy, wide (for a MTB) gel saddle. It also has puncture-resistant liners in good rubber. LX trigger shifters and front derailleur (rear shifter is slipping a bit and will need something to get back to normal...probably replacement). Actually now that I think of it, the front was slipping as well, but that's an easy fix. It's plenty ride-able as-is, but I'd fix that if it were my only bike. Thompson Elite Seatpost. There are no pedals on it, but I'll put some on if there's any interest...Shimano m545 or Ritchey Logic SPD. Or plastic platform - you pick.

I took the bike out on a cold night last year and managed to snap the front brake line. So I took the front brake piston and caliper off and swore to myself I'd set about looking for a replacement. But I started riding my other bike then got another bike so that little detail never got done. The disc is still mounted to the hub. It just needs a new brake line. I don't really have time or inclination to research it and do the work, but I'll hand over the CODA piston & caliper with the bike. If it winds up being a deal breaker, I'll consider getting the brake up & running again, but it may take some time.

It has some miles on it, but most were pretty mild. This rig should continue to serve someone for many years to come. It took 12 years for something to go wrong (brake line)! Overall the bike's in good condition. It's pretty light and rides like a champ. I'll clean it up and take more pictures if folks wanna see more (as time allows). It's ready to ride as soon as I put pedals on. There's some nice singletrack as well as greenbelt right behind the house for test rides.

Image taken tonight

What I'm looking for is some riding gear. I'd like to find a pant/jacket combo...maybe something like the Kilimanjaro/Kathmandu. I'm open to other brands - just examples there. But I'm reasonably certain I'm gonna need something approaching waterproof, decent protection and not falling apart...I already have plenty of that. I don't necessarily need something new, but would like to find something with a little life left in it. I'm about 5'11, 155 pounds, so my stuff's running medium to large. Got just a jacket or pants you wanna trade? I'd like to hear about that too. Whatcha got?

Dr650 JT rear 46 tooth sprocket. Great for getting all you can out of the gearing for dirt and road. I ride more road than dirt so....no point for me. They cost new from Pro-cycle 49 plus shippin.g

30 bucks shipped or pickup for 20.
