not going to make either rides this weekend, up to my elbows in customer engines that need them done before the races at Pacfic Raceway Park (Seattle International Raceway) next weekend, June 9-10. would love to have agroup out to the races but we will not actully be running at Seattle since our "A" rider broke his leg at the last Portland round and the "B" rider we used at Spokane will be studying for his final exams at Portland State. Not sure about this younger generation, after all what is more important racing or getting an education

For those interested the next race at Portland is June 23-24, we will be running our bikes at that one using the "B" rider. I often ride the V-Strom down on Friday afternoon before the weekend through the back of St. Helens on FS 25 or 23 from Randle. More than happy to have company.

Also since we are not racing next weekend June 9-10 would be able to make a ride if anyone is interested. Maybe do one of the routes mentioned by Steve in the previous post.

post it here and I will find it.

My vote is for a ride to the east side of Mt. St. Helens. Meet up in Eatonville? Sunday? After a quick wash and some minor wrenching, the V-Pig will be ready to wallow again .

I'm going to plan on heading to Portland for the 23rd and 24th. Been meaning to get down there for years.

Hey Dale,

A couple of us will be coming from Kent. I don't know how far south you'll be starting from. So Eatonville? We'll be coming through Orting and Kapowsin. We're thinking of heading for Windy ridge and sticking to the paved roads for the day. Pick a time and location and we'll be there. Look forward to meeting you.

Dan

Two choices Aarons Ark, which is right on the main hwy through town, it has a sort of drive in in feel to it, mainly because it used to be, but is now a full restaurant.

the other option is Tall Timbers, 121 mashell Ave n. this is pretty much a locals type restuarant but the food has always been real good. As you are coming into town from the north on SR 161 (meridian) veer to the right that will put you on mashell ave. the restuarant is near the center of town.

Not sure how early you want to get up so name the time as I appear to be the one that has the shortest distance and can sleep in the longest.

Let's say 8:00am at the Tall timbers. We'll be leaving Kent about 7:15, so we might even by a little early. See you Sunday.....

I checked the Forest service site, and 99 up to windy ridge isn't open yet. So we can just see how we're all feeling and head for the direction the clouds are lightest. We need to get a little rain, so the new Triumph that's coming along can get some road grime on it .

My buddy with the Triumph cruiser backed out at the last minute. I've been looking at the map of Gifford Pinchot. Looks like lots of roads to check out. See ya'll in Eatonville. All 3 of us it looks like.

Explore the logging roads around Bawfaw peak (Boistford peak). I have driven these roads on work but not recently and not extensively. I do not even know if they are open to the public - but I would like to find out.

Idea -4 - I am thinking about it!!!

Idea 2 sounds very good, they all do. We had a nice ( damp ) ride Sunday in Gifford Pinchot. We only scratched the surface of great roads out there. Breakfast in Tenino and Scale burgers in Elbe sounds like a plan. Hey MADDADDY, You free on the 17th?

What's going on down there?

After the BC Ride, I'm planning to spend a bit more time down there...just been busy. Thanks, DANRIDE, for picking up the ball and running with it!

Keep it rollin' guys!

Funny you should ask.

My friend just opened up a new bar in Olympia and i have already talked with him about a Sunday afternoon invasion. This is a motorbike friendly place. Saturday July 7th or Sunday, July 8th is the only days that are going to work for me. He will be running the BBQ for FREE. I will see which day is better for him and the post it official.
