I’ll be leaving the house in time to meet up at the Fishbowl around 1:00PM.

I was hoping to get out a little earlier and catch a ride with you all but a last minute “Honey-Do” list popped up out of nowhere!

So, have fun on the ride everyone and I’ll see you at the Fishbowl around 1:00!

Think Sunshine!

If the Deschutes doesn't go up much more tonight I'm hoping to fish that in the AM and hang out for the Fish. Looking forward to putting faces to the names!

I'm dead tired and slightly soggy; I'll post some pics and text tomorrow.

What an awesome showing by the South-Sounders! Great group and many thanks for the effort!

Nighty-night boys!

A quick run through Capital Forest

The South Sound MAG convened at the Spar Cafe in the bright sunshine. Dan on his knobby-clad DL1000, Richard on a massive GS1150 complete with 41L TT boxes, Paul on a completely tricked out XR650L and me on the KLR. Whoever appeased the weather gods did well.

Somewhere on the C-Line. L-R; Paul, Dan, Richard

Overlooking Satsop

Paul and I up on the B-Line somewhere

Taking a break before the final push toward beer

The roads through the forest were in good shape. Wet enough to keep the dust down and get mud all over everything. All in all, a good day in the woods. Thanks to Dan, Paul and Richard for making a fun day!

It sounds like you guys had a great day. You passed by us on the B-Line (I think) coming down off of the ridge line about 3 miles out of the Rock Candy staging area. I was the guy on the KTM RFS making a lame attempt at waving you guys over so I could introduce myself. I figured it had to be you guys after following this thread. After the pointman rode by I realized it was a mute point so I switched to the friendly wave for the rest of the group.

Thanks Phil for posting the pics! The ones I took are about the same, and I haven't been bright enough to figure out how to down size them to fit on the site. . I had a great time and sure enjoyed the company. Hey bearcat1. That must have been you on the power lines with the other Katooms we passsed there. We should have stopped. The only other folks we saw where in cages or on quads, and the dirt bike riders just looked at us like we were crazy fools on touring bikes . We took a break at the rock candy entrance, then headed back up and over C-4000 and back to the Delphi entrance. I'm looking forward to meeting more fellow riders at the get together in Carnation this week, and maybe at Engles this thursday. Anyone wanting to explore the cascade foothills before the MAG on saturday, speak up or forever hold your peace .

Thanks, Phil, for teaching me how to upload pictures!!!

What a great turn out down south at The Fishbowl Brewpub!

The gathering started a bit earlier with a ride through Capitol Forest and once the bikes and Riders showed up much fun was had!

Y'all come back to The Fishbowl, ya hear!

I think this is a great spot for a MAG! Great riding opportunities nearby, easy access in and out of Olympia, great chow, and stellar beers!

Thanks for the effort everyone! It was great to put faces with names. Let's make this a regular thing!
