It's truly amazing. I figure they have formal training on it. P.S the food, greasy as it may be, is like 5 steps above Plan-B.
Albina Press vibe? Is this sort of the vibe the Alberta district?

Hey I'm in for an New Old Lompoc experience next time I'm up, part of the adventure I figure is the waitpeople you encounter.

Lompoc owns the Oaks Bottom Brewery in westmoreland and the service there sucks so bad that I never go there anymore. Sat right at the bar for 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my presence.

Apex is a fantastic choice if its nice enough to be outside.

Nitelite and Vendetta sell PBR--Now that I think about it, I cant think of a single place in Portland where you cant get a PBR.

Right next door is a good Taqueria where you buy your food to go with your beer. Tacos are $2, burritos are around $6. It's tasty
It is a bicycle bar that does not allow smoking of ANY kind (even outside)

The "Tanqueria" can't keep their orders straight so I hope you like a mystery. (it is good food you just don't get what you order)

Greek Village at Hwy 26 & Murray.
It's an run-down old roadhouse that had suburbia grow up around it. It has cheap beer, good beer, food, parking.

Riding out from Portland on 26 is a bit of a drag, but if we can't find another bar in Portland then we'll just have to suck it up.
Hey I'm good with this place too.

They don't like motorcycles there.

plan c

get a medium sized sack,,any material construction is allowed, I'd prefer burlap.(harder to get fingerprints)
start a collective effort to amass funds into the sack, and let the owner of the PlanB be made fully aware of your collective intention to buy the bar, and to make it the place you all want.
Godfather,,a deal you can't refuse,,blah blah, blah.
fill the sack with whatever you all deem a fair amount, and ,,"make that deal!"

[edit] too bad you peeps don't know any 'shady' individuals,,,laffing smilie here.

We know some "shady" individuals, but I don't think they have the talent to pull this kind of deal off........

Feh, I don't want to own a bar. I'm grumpy and I can't keep orders straight.
