Sheep or no I would go to a meet-up in Beaverton so long as it has cheep beer and reasonably priced food. I will take Luke's word on a West-side place to meet in the future.

I think Scout posted the Nite Lite for THIS Thursday first and according to their web-site I can afford it. (the Stillhouse is too expensive and last time I was there it was too cramped for a proper meet-up sorry Rashy)

Nite Lite for Thursday? Works for me. Going, going ....

It's too bad we're already back to this place is too expensive, this place is too small, this place doesn't allow outside smoking .... I was kinda hoping this time round we'd be be able to just let someone suggest somewhere, go if you liked it, silently not go if you didn't. There is always the following week and anyone is free to suggest a cheap cavernous location.

Greek Village at Hwy 26 & Murray is fine with me also.

I agree with your thinking this way. I did not mean to go negative. Just meant to be informative.

Besides I am sure that my personal opinions on matters concerning meet-ups is way WAY low on others give a fuck list.

Perhaps, but you're still WAY the fuck up on my GAFL compared to RoadTrash.

Nite Lite it is for Thurs. I say fill the street with ADVbikes instead of city bikes.

Besides, there's lots and lots of good gravel alleys/backways in that part of town to squirrel around on getting there/going home.

I'll start by quoting the words of this wise man:

Then express my not-so-wise thoughts:

• There are advantages to a regular meet-up location.

• There are advantages to a revolving meet-up location.

• Thursday night is kind of challenging for meet-ups at home for some of us (myself included).

• It would be a mistake to underestimate the importance of keeping it inexpensive. IMHO.

• Mixing different parts of town and different expense levels may tend to stratify the participants.

• Stratifying the participants would suck. IMHO.

Sorry if I'm responsible for starting this debate again. Perhaps I failed to properly consider the results of venting in this thread.

Whatever happens with the regular meet-ups, I'd really like to have a gathering of some kind at my house. Probably on a weekend night. A few ducks will need to be lined up first. I'll keep y'all posted . . .

Yes. You are. Again.

Not that you didn't have your reasons. Some related to the food/service, some not.

Enjoy the fun! If it wasn't you it would have been someone else.

This thread was getting pretty slow anyway.

I'll toss in a recommendation for the Greeley Ave Bar & Grill, on the corner of Greeley and Killingsworth in North Portand, now owned by the owners of Mock Crest. (Full disclosure: I know the owners.) They have PBR, they have a good selection of micros; if the food is like at MC, it's good bar food; they have parking; they have a covered patio for smokin'. What the powers that be, or the collective, do with this info ... I don't give a rip.

I thought about suggesting Yargo's, that place is about as divey as divey gets.

I haven't been since they changed the name, but back in the day the yargo burger would serve 5 or 6 people, or serve as a nice appetizer for one average advrider.

(Also, I often see a ducati hypermotard parked out front.)

(Double also - pretty good food cart lot across the street.)

(Triple also - pretty good access to/from Germantown road for the west siders.)

PS - Nite life on the 22nd, Greeleys Yargo on the 29th?

Yorgo's wouldn't be a bad place for meet-up.

Cheap Brew, cheap burgers, plus a covered deck for smoking on Greeley.

The food cart pod across the street on N. Greely/N. Killingsworth has some good cheap grub too. Over 10 carts there and many stay open through 7-8pm.

You can now get beers at this food cart pod ...maybe we should have the meet up there?

Plenty of outside tables and an inside space for rain.

That Yorgos place is the perfect dive, and it's a good central location for a lot of folks. Parking is great there. There's also classier food right across the street.

Nice.

But you'll need one of these.
