Come to think of it, how come you had to order. Are you getting an '08? Each of the two closest dealers has at least two '07s on the floor.

Yeah, I guess it would be. I guess I hadn't really considered who was buying it.

I got an 07 with 250 miles on it from the Little Rock, Arkansas KTM dealer - $11,000 plus $325 to ship it to PDX. I couldn't pass that up! Not an S model though.
I'm going to keep the 640, for a little while at least. I love that bike!

Dag, see what happens when you let me sit on your bike?
And Phat - T, don't even look at it. I now know what will happen to it if you are left alone with it. Sorry man, I know you can't help yourself.

Nice!!! Welcome to the club, modulo a bit of 950 vs 990 envy. You'll have to let us know how it runs, my friend Gustavo rode one recently and said the FI on that particular bike was unrideable but it seems to vary by bike, hopefully you'll be kosher as the ~45mpg and abs sure sounds nice.

The dealer in Bend said that he adjusted the free-play out of the throttle on his, and it made a big difference- not so snatchy. But then, he was trying to sell me one.

Whatever the case, it's gonna be a cool bike.
