Yep. Changed jobs 2 years ago which meant less vacation time to burn, with no corresponding decrease in the length of the honey-do list. So, the bike left for a while. Picked up another V-Strom (an '08) a few months ago. I did get an older Miata to drive in the interim (which I still have). Is that the new 'Manor Bake'?

I am out of Derby, KS. Just picked up a 1998 R1100GS. Let me know if anyone is interested in riding sometime!

Welcome.

If you have not found KS Backroads introduce yourself and go to the Stampede. http://www.backroadstouring.org/kansas/index2.htm

I finally got out for a ride last weekend. Nothing too exciting for you old timers, but the newb's might enjoy the ride. Watch in HD.

Hey I know that dude. A righteous guy to camp and ride with, they don't come any better.
How you doing, Mike? long time no see. Could you make it to Curvy's this weekend? I see you might be outta state. Pilot and Charla and Ben and some others are going out.

Ok, first mention of it but I want everyone to think about a Medicine Lodge trip in the Fall this time. October, maybe even first week of November.
ANNOUNCING: Bake's Tent, Dirt Roads, Gyp Hills 2012
I was sick last year and couldn't ride and do one, and didn't have a bike for the '10 version, we need a weekend. I'm going to be looking for a little enduro bike this summer so I can go back and camp at Barber state lake and ride the Gyp Hills again. I miss going down there for a small jamboree. We have a pretty good repertoire both south but also well north of Highway160, that Bill and I found some good stuff while we were looking for Raymond.

Who wants to talk about doing a Gyp Hills weekend?

This is where I was last weekend:

Swiss Alps on a GS. It didn't suck either.

Ok, that's a little better than riding in Kansas.
