Typical Red Sox fan, not knowing before speaking. The only Yankee who has a contract that might be a bad thing is Burnett who is inconsistent and signed through 2013. Jeter has a contract through 2013 with a player option for 2014. He started off poorly but ended close to .300. Some may say A-Rod, who had a crappy year, and is overpaid for what he produces. But they have the money and he will be back and likely hitting again.
I am sure the Sox would love to lose a few long contracts like Lackey and Crawford.

my comment was more in general- not just against the sox- he puts up great numbers, then falls flat in the post season. Numerous sports writers has noticed this phenomenon.

Not sure what it is, but it is obviously psychological in nature...

You still have to get to the post season somehow don't you. Would you all not want to have a player with his production numbers to get you there?

I've never liked Arod. But the regular season numbers are pretty damn good.

but seriously, w/ burnett and arod, vs lackey and crawford... i'd take burnett and arod- aj and lackey equally useless, but we only have aj for 2 more years, whereas you're stuck with lackey for 3 more.

arod and crawford are both going to be around for 6 more, but at least arod can still hit. you're going to have to see if crawford bounces back before you start hurling stones.
